Pterosaur Sighting

          Bowling Green is southwest
          of Mammoth Cave. Although
          nobody is suggesting ropens
live in this cave, bats live in
          some Kentucky caves and
bats may be food for ropens.

          After years of studying many
          reports of living pterosaurs,
          Jonathan Whitcomb, of Long
          Beach, California, has found
          a possible connection: Some
          ropens, at times, eat bats.
In the spring of 2008, an eyewitness
saw a big, apparent living pterosaur
flying over Bowling Green, Kentucky.
